Currier, the Oxbow Herbs & Heirlooms farm is located in a remote part of
northern Maine. After years of neglect, the land
is gradually being brought back into a fertile, diverse
farm.
With a mix of organically grown medicinal herbs,
heirloom seeds that are not genetically engineered and organic
vegetables, the farm is moving toward sustainability.
Ann is dedicated to using
the land, which has been in the family for 4 generations, for
farming. As an herbalist, Ann recognizes the need for high quality organic herbs
for medicinal use. The organic herb niche market appeals to her because it fits on a
small farm and the whole idea promotes a healthy person and a
healthy planet. |
